Nathan Peloquin,
Pastor
Nathan grew up in the Oxford area and accepted Christ as his Savior as a child. After completing his undergraduate work in Communications, Nathan attended Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary and graduated with his M. Div in 2016.
After working for a local business for a few years, Nathan felt the call of God to pursue pastoral ministry at Oxford. The Deacons recommended Nathan as Interim Pastor, and the church family enthusiastically approved. Nathan is excited to see how God leads and grows First Baptist Church in the coming months. In his spare time, Nathan enjoys spending time with family, reading, hunting and woodworking.
Jacob Ignacio,
Worship Leader
Jacob grew up on the Island of Guam. He accepted Christ as his Savior in high school while attending Harvest Christian Academy. In 2009 he traveled stateside to attend Northland International University in Dunbar, WI. Jacob met his wife Rachel while at NIU where they both participated in the school’s traveling chorale group. In 2013 he earned a degree in Church Music. After graduation, Jacob accepted a position at Faith Christian Academy in McAllen, TX where he taught music, Bible, physical education and coached volleyball. After getting married to Rachel in 2014, they moved to Illinois where Jacob taught music and physical education at Grace Christian Academy in Kankakee. God called the Ignacios to FBCO in the spring of 2016. Jacob currently is bivocational and enjoys working for a local bank as an analyst. He has several hobbies, but what he treasures most is time spent with Rachel and his two daughters.
Amy Peloquin,
Secretary
Amy grew up in First Baptist Church where she accepted Christ in the Pre-Primary Sunday School, and has served as Church Secretary since 2010. Amy received her degree in Administrative studies from Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, Iowa. She enjoys serving alongside her husband and
participating in the music ministry. In her spare time, Amy enjoys baking, quilting and reading.
